KRIEGER, Jacob. Weaver, of Fröschen. Son of the shoemaker, Gottlieb Krieger. Married at Thaleischweiler, 10.VIII.1745, Maria (Anna) Barbara Brandstetter, whom he had impregnated. She was born at Fröschen, 21.111.1723, as the daughter of Michael Brandstetter, carpenter, and his wife, Maria Catharina. Has left for Pennsylvania with wife and children 1765 May 7. Issue (born at Fröschen) : (1) Heinrich Jacob, b. 7.XI.1745; (2) Johann Georg, b. 19.XII.1751; (3) Eva Catharina, b. 16.VI.1757; (4) Hanss Theobald, b. 31.1.1762; (5) Johann Michael, b. 31.1.1762; (6) Anna Margaretha, b. 15.1.1764. Jacob Krieger arrived on the ship Chance, 9 Sept. 1765 (S-H I, 705). Jacob Krieger, of Mahanoy Twp., Northumberland Co., was taxed in 1782, 1783/4, 1785 (PA-3, XIX, 512, 567, 611).
