---------------------------------------
ALSPACH, Reinhardt. From Froeschen. Married at Thaleischweiler,
29.111.1737, Anna Magdalena Brandstaetter, whom he had impregnated. Therefore they were obliged to leave the country after the marriage. He was admitted again, but he left for Pennsylvania. Reinhart Altspach arrived on the ship Robert and Alice, 11 Sept. 1738 (S-H I, 213, 215).
Dr. Krebs states that Reinhardt Alspach seems to have returned to his native place, for in 1760 the births of his children are again found in the church registers of Thaleischweiler. However, Reinhart Alsbach, of Windsor, made his will 3 Jan. 1762; it was proved 16 May 1763; he named his sons George and Heinrich, and mentioned (but did not name) his other children. His widow, Magdalena, was administratrix of his estate (GSP Berks, I, 71). Dr. Gerberich’s records show that Reinhart and Matthias Alspach were assessed in Windsor Twrp. in 1754. Link |
