DAUDE (DAUTE), Johann Heinrich. Cartwright. Son of Heinrich Daude, cartwright, of Froeschen. Married at Thaleischweiler, 8.V.1742, Anna Elisabetha, daughter of Michael Brandstetter, of Fröschen, whom he had impregnated. He left for Pennsylvania with wife, children, and the son-in-law, and the wife and children of his son-in-law, 1765, the Ith May. Issue (born at Fröschen) : (1) Maria Magdalena, b. 8.VIII.1742. She left for Pennsylvania with her parents, husband, and children, 1765 the Ith May; see her husband, LAMBERT, Johann Heinrich); (2) Friedrich Jakob, b. 11.X.1744: (3) Anna Catharina, b. 14.VIII.1748; (4) Anna Elisabetha, b. 15.XII.1751; (5) Elisabeth Margaretha, b. 22.IX.1756. The name of Henry Douty is found in the tax lists of Bucks Go. (PA-3, XIII, 202, 219, 388, 451) and Augusta Twp., Northumberland Co. (PA-3, XIX, 645, 721). A Henry Douty was living in Northumberland Co. in 1790 (First Census, p. 186).
