Claes Petersen came to New Amsterdam in 1660, He was a soldier. “Adelborst” from Dithmarschen, who left Holland by the ship “de Bonte Koe,” which sailed April 15, 1660. In the list of passengers kept by the ship, it is stated that he assigned two months wages per year to Marritie Hendrixen, his betrothed.
He seems to have been in Esopus in 1663
