Matys Blanjan (Blanchan), from Mannheim, is mentioned in the records of New Amsterdam in 1662, when reference is also made to his son-in-law. Matys Blanjan jr. married in Kingston. N,. Y., 1679. As there were in New-Amsterdam several Frenchmen from Mannheim, Matys may have been one of them. He was a Protestant. |
